TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2016: F DAY

SCHOOL WIDE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT ~ Fleece Blankets

This project is a go! We have enough fleece to make 40 blankets. 1 for each Advisement group.  We plan to donate them to the shelters, veterans, children’s hospital, and other organizations as recommended by student groups making blankets.

We raised enough funds to buy 6 of those. So if you still want to help it would be greatly appreciated.  Each blanket cost is approximately $15.00

We are going full steam ahead either way.

Extended Learning Time

At the Sound School we believe that students should have opportunities during the school day and the school year for extended learning time to support their individual learning needs. Three times during the 2016 – 2017 school year, we will schedule two hours of Extended Learning Time during the school day. Teachers will offer workshops for students to choose from in order to receive direct instruction and support for their learning. The dates for these workshops are, November 10, January 11, and March 13.

Reminders:

If you are locked out of a building for any reason, please report to the main office so we can call ahead and facilitate your reentry. The McNeil building remains open at all times during school hours. Please do NOT knock on entry doors during class time. This is disruptive to everyone in the building. Also do not rely on calls or texts to fellow students. Your entry must be facilitated by an adult. Again…go to McNeil and get called in. Teachers, please do not send students on errands during class time. On that rare occurrence when you simply MUST do so, you MUST phone ahead to their destination to facilitate their entry.
