Have you ever sat in a math class and asked, “When am I ever going to use this…”

Well the math teachers have finally found an answer to that age old question! The answer is….Hidden Figures.

The math department is offering a field trip, Thursday, February 2nd, to the Criterion Theater downtown for our own private screening of the film, Hidden Figures. The cost will be $7. Permission slips are available now, just ask any math teacher. Permission slips and payment will be due by this Friday by G period, that means we only have 2 G periods left to sign up, so don’t wait!

This past weekend 5 girls and 4 boys from the varsity open water rowing team and 1 sailor competed in an indoor rowing relay race at Jordan’s furniture. It was a 5 minute relay where each team member rowed for a hard minute. They were against other high school rowers and even a graduated Yale crew team. Courtney, Cat, Adriana, Ava and Ashley represented the girls team and angel, Gabe, Louis, Tucker and Cam represented for the boys team. The boys did amazing being neck and neck the whole time with the Yale team, and the girls took the first place win with the most meters.

Reminders:

If you are locked out of a building for any reason, please report to the main office so we can call ahead and facilitate your reentry. The McNeil building remains open at all times during school hours. Please do NOT knock on entry doors during class time. This is disruptive to everyone in the building. Also do not rely on calls or texts to fellow students. Your entry must be facilitated by an adult. Again…go to McNeil and get called in. Teachers, please do not send students on errands during class time. On that rare occurrence when you simply MUST do so, you MUST phone ahead to their destination to facilitate their entry.
