TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2017: A-DAY

 

Floral expressions will meet today, Tuesday February 28th in McNeil from 2:40 – 4:30 

 

The after school greenhouse group will meet at Pardee on Wednesday March 1st from 2:30 – 4:15. 

 

A mandatory state degree meeting till be held Wednesday March 8th from 2:30 – 4:30 in McNeil. Please bring any and all documentation you have with you. 

 

 

Rowing practice this week will only be for people rowing in Snow Row on Saturday.

 

This is a reminder that the U.S. Navy will be coming to The Sound School on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 during G period (10:20 AM – 11:05 AM) in the library to conduct  a presentation on some of the training and educational benefits engineers, but more specifically nuclear engineers, can gain while serving in the U.S. Navy. This presentation is open to all grade levels and should be attended by any students who share a passion for science, engineering, and mathematics. This will be a great opportunity for them to see and hear what the U.S. Navy has to offer by actual U.S. Naval nuclear engineers. Please encourage students who are interested in the event to sign up in Naviance by Monday, March 6, 2017.

 

Wilbur Cross Baseball

All student athletes interested in baseball should attend this meeting

When- Thursday March 2nd 3:00-3:30

Where- Cafeteria

  • All grades are welcome to attend the meeting.
  • This is for all players (new and returning).
  • We will discuss the our season, tryouts and answer any questions you have.
  • All players must have an up to date physical in order to try out.

 

Jillian Vallejo’s donation drive for her capstone was a successful raising a total of 146 items and $93.17. The winner of the donation drive is Megan’s C period class! Congratulations and thank you to all those who donated!

 

 

Help support the Sound School ROV team by partaking in its very own Raffle. Included are tee-shirts, games, food, and a free ticket to the ROV team’s lock-in! Prices will be set at 3 tickets for $1, 7 tickets for $2, and 25 tickets for $5 during all lunch waves outside the cafe. The drawing will be on March 2nd.

 

Have fun and help the ROV team by coming to its semi-annual lock-in on March 10 from 6-10. Join us for a fun night of karaoke, pizza, video games, and fun. Tickets will be sold during all lunch waves outside the cafe. They will be sold for $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Hope to see you there.

Reminders:

If you are locked out of a building for any reason, please report to the main office so we can call ahead and facilitate your reentry. The McNeil building remains open at all times during school hours. Please do NOT knock on entry doors during class time. This is disruptive to everyone in the building. Also do not rely on calls or texts to fellow students. Your entry must be facilitated by an adult. Again…go to McNeil and get called in. Teachers, please do not send students on errands during class time. On that rare occurrence when you simply MUST do so, you MUST phone ahead to their destination to facilitate their entry.
