Good morning,
As you have likely heard from your children at this point, a car was discovered in the water off the Sound School early this morning. Police and Fire personnel are coordinating recovery efforts and all is proceeding well. Students have been incredibly mindful of the scene and although they are extremely interested, they have maintained a safe distance, have respected police and fire lines, and have been mindful of first responders. Many thanks to Security Officer Harry Supowitz and Assistant Principal Eric Yuhas for ensuring a safe and orderly start to the school day.
We expect this will be cleared before dismissal this afternoon. We will keep you posted when we have more information.
