The Student Council would like to thank our school community for supporting our Get Your Pink On! Week.  From pumpkins, to manicures, ribbons and face painting, our community raised over $200! A BIG thank you to all our pink pumpkin participants.  Your creations were amazing!  Congratulations again to the Debate Team and their winning pink pumpkin.  Let’s eat pizza.

 

Seniors,

An admissions counselor from Stonehill College with be visiting Sound School today at 1:30pm in the cafe.  Please remember to sign up in Naviance if you would like to attend this college session and learn about what Stonehill College has to offer.

Please return your permission slips to Ms. Matos, if you plan to attend the trip to Southern CT State University on Monday, October 30th .

 

 

TODAY, Teen Clinic will be held at Planned Parenthood located at 345 Whitney Avenue in New Haven at 3:30pm. This event is free and free food will be provided. Teen clinic is an opportunity to ask questions, get tested, and to find out more about birth control methods. All are welcome! 

 

 

CT Fashion Week is hosting an event this coming Saturday October 28th, 2017.  They are expecting over 100 people and thus are in need of volunteers. Students who volunteer/intern with this organization may have the opportunity to fulfill more hours after this event as they will be hosting more events in the coming months.

Important Picture Retake information:

If you were not here to have your picture taken, please come Monday between 8:30 and 10:30. If you had your picture taken and want a retake.. please come during this time, with your original package of pictures and the $10 retake fee. See Katie if you have any questions

Meetings will be held in the cafeteria.

 

The Greenhouse Management SAE after school will begin next Wednesday November 1st, 2017. This is open to all sound school students aqua or ag. Please take the 274 city bus from The Sound School downtown then transfer to the 224 State Street and get off at Ridge Street. There will be other students to help you! We will meet at 3:15

 

 

Are you a Hispanic student in grade 10, 11, or 12? Are you interested in attending college? Then Quest 2017 is for you! Quest 2017 is a FREE, one-day conference scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. Breakfast and lunch are included, and transportation can be arranged. Please see our School Counselor, Ms. Matos, in Anderson 616, to pick up a registration flyer.

 

 

 

Have a sweet tooth? Know somebody who does? If so, treat yourself or a friend to a Boo!-Gram. Boo!-Grams are $2 each and filled to the top with sweet treats! Bags include but are not limited to Kit-Kats, Twix, Snickers, Skittles, lollipops and more! Orders are being taken during all three lunch waves or see Dave Low during your G or H period. Delivery will be on Halloween
