ANNOUNCEMENTS

Monday, November 27, 2017, A-Day

Attention Dive Club members. This wednesday we will return to the Hillhouse pool to continue the scuba class. All students must bring their completed and signed folder with them in order to participate!

THURSDAY Vet Tech will be having its first meeting in Kim’s room, at the Foote building. Only freshman and sophomores can join Vet Tech. For those who want to join sign-up is posted outside of Kim’s room. Make sure to sign-up quickly because only the first 12 people to sign-up will be able to participate. If you have any questions or concerns go see Brianna Lane or Katelynn Hanson.

Attention Sound School Students! It is almost time for the Semi-annual Lock-In hosted by the Senior ROV Team! Join us for a fun night of movies, music, and games! Delicious pizza and drinks will be served. There will also be two video game tournaments to participate in with prizes for first place! Tickets are $8 beforehand and $10 at the door, with an additional $2 fee to enter a tournament, and will be sold during all three lunch waves. We hope to see you there!

The holidays are fast approaching and who doesn’t love a fresh baked pie? Support the Senior Rov Team and purchase a delicious handmade Lyman Orchards pie! Pies are $17 each and flavors include Chocolate Cream, Apple Caramel Walnut, Peach Crumb, Banana Cream and many more! See Joseph Federation or Aliya Cruz in room 203 during your G or H period to place your order.

Applications for spring semester college classes are now available in Student Services. Classes will run from mid-January to mid-May. You need an overall B average or better, which is the minimum to be considered for a college class through the Independent Studies Department. You also need PSAT or SAT scores of at least 400 on English and 400 on Math. An overall B+/A- average with 500’s or straight A’s with 600’s may qualify you for Southern or Yale, in addition to qualifying for Gateway. Please stop by Student Services and get an application from Julie or Caroline. Return it completed and meet with Julie, our Independent Studies Coordinator, on any Tuesday in November, for the mandatory interview. Returning students are also required to meet with Julie and complete a spring term application. All interviews and applications must be completed by November 28th, so don’t delay!
