Congratulations to Dylan Ramrattan on his acceptance to the University of Connecticut’s Selective Students program, Storrs Campus.

With storm conditions on tap for today, please be very aware of your surroundings as you are moving about campus, and remember: wet floors are slippery floors! If conditions get really bad you may hear us call for “Shelter in Place” on the PA. This means you are to stay in buildings, based in the classrooms you are in (you could still use the bathroom in your building, for example.) but ignore any passing time bells until the order is lifted over the PA. In case of power outage, runners will be dispatched to each building in radio communication with the main office. Follow their directions! But don’t be confused….a code red drill is different and specifically noted on the PA. The district security team has been around the city randomly calling for code red drills, so we will undoubtably have one soon. If you hear code red, follow all the procedures your teachers have told you about. Remember that in a code red drill, we will NOT say drill in the announcements, so all such announcements should be treated as the real thing.
