Attention ALL Sound School students and staff, this week The FFA Leadership Group will be hosting many different events in support of Autism Awareness Month. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden puzzle pieces and if you find one bring it to the bulletin board outside of the Tech 2 room and you will win a goody bag filled with treats. There will be a bake sale during G Period TODAY, Wednesday and Thursday. You can also buy a ribbon to support Autism Awareness. Don’t forget to wear BLUE on Thursday for Light it Up Blue Day!

 

 

Do you need a dress for the Prom? Project Hope is giving out FREE Prom dresses. Say Yes to the Prom Dress Boutique is located at 83 Audubon Street, New Haven. They will be open April 9th-April 28th. Hours are Monday-Friday 3-8:00pm, and Saturdays 9am-5pm.

Luz Sanchez and Alexia Vega you have shadows on Wednesday April 11th, 2018. Please meet your shadow in the main office no later than 7:45am. 

 

Attention dive club members. On Wednesday we will continue our training at the Hillhouse Pool, all open water and advanced dive students are expected to attend. Please see Pete Solomon if you cannot be there. 

 

Attention all FFA leadership members their will be a meeting today in room 307 after school. Please bring a copy of your chapter or Greenhand degree application

 

Student Council will be collecting donations for the Stetson Library’s Next Chapter fundraiser. Donations will help the library afford to move to a new location and allow many low-income students to have access to many resources needed for school.

 In addition, the Student Council is excited to announce the 2ND annual Color Warz! Student Council members will be coming to classrooms during G period to talk about Color Warz, get ready to color! 

 

 

Donna will be coming in next Wednesday, April 11th, to collect some work from her students.

Students who are planning on going to Faulkner Island on April 20th with Paula need to return the permission slips and paperwork for the Fish and Wildlife . Brendan and Tireek please see Paula if you have not received that paperwork. All paperwork must be in by TOMORROW.

 

Attention sophomores who are interested in applying for junior AP Language – You must turn in your application essays to Megan when we return from break on Monday, April 23rd.  If you have any questions or need a copy of the application, stop in this week to see Megan in Thomas 416.

 

There will be a mandatory meeting of the National Spanish Honor Society TOMORROW During G period in the Caf.

 

Donna will be coming in TOMORROW, to collect some work from her students.

Students from the Eco Adventure group need to see Paula or Kim about their participation in the overnight Camping trip planned for April 28th.

 

 

Any sophomore or junior interested in taking a college class at Gateway, Southern, or Yale this fall should see Julie in Student Service (upstairs in Thomas) any Tuesday through May 15th. You need a B average overall and PSAT’s of 800 or above. Returning Students also need to complete applications, so don’t delay!

 

Aspirations for Higher Learning: a Pre-Collegiate Institute is a free, six-week enrichment program for students wanting to improve their college readiness over the summer. A commitment to attend every day from July 2-August 8 is required. All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders have been mailed an application, but if you don’t receive one by April 10th and are interested in applying, see Ms. Matos in Anderson or Julie in Thomas (Tuesdays only). Completed applications with essay and current Report Card are due downtown by April 17th, so get yours submitted ASAP!

 

Big Congratulations to Lauren Mullaly. For the second year in a row, her hockey team has won the national championship! Go Sharks and GO LAUREN!!
