Thursday, April 26, 2018: A-Day

 

Any student interested in helping with the pancake breakfast please see pebbles. Community service hours will be awarded

 

There will be a SAGA meeting TODAY during G period in the Library Classroom for those students participating in the day of silence. Remember, I Belong. You Belong. We Belong.

 

The beekeeping group will be meeting this afternoon until 4:30. We plan to meet in Kevin Dailey’s room.

 

There will be a CAR WASH– this Saturday April 28th from 9:00am  to 3:00pm  in the Foote Parking lot,  to benefit the Seniors who will be traveling to Bermuda. The cost is only $5.00 and it will help the seniors who are working hard to pay for this trip.

 

 

There will be a GENERAL meeting for all those interested in participating in the Spring Fishing Directed Lab after school TODAY from 2:45 to 4:30 pm in Room 718 Foote. Questions, casting and safety training, and Directed Lab permission slips will be discussed.  If you are interested please plan to attend or contact Jack Walsh or George Baldwin.

 

You may notice there is a new sign-in sheet in the library. Please be sure to sign in and out when you go to the library. You must have permission and a pass from a teacher to go to the library if you are not assigned there. Teachers, a reminder, do not send students to the library without a pass.

All tickets to prom must be purchased by Friday may 4th.  The prom will take plce on Friday May 18 at Birchwoods at Oak lane Country Club in woodbridge from 7-11 PM.  Tickets are $60.00 per person. This is a final purchase date . There can be no exceptions one the final date has been given.

 

Seniors, It is time to reserve you spot for the Senioe trip to Six Flags.  There is no cost ofr admission and lunch at Six Flags but there is a $15.00 charge to help cover the cost of the bus.  There will be one coach bus and our school bus. Bus seating will come on a first come, first serve basis.

 

 

 Eco Adventure will start TODAY in Kim’s room. We need to discuss whether or not we will be spending this coming Saturday on a field trip to replace the overnight trip.

 

Student Council will be hosting a pajama day tomorrow, Friday April 27th. Come to school comfy in your school and weather appropriate pjs!

 

Any senior interested in participating in the 2nd annual Color Warz should come to the cafeteria today during G period. We will decide on a theme and begin planning how to decorate the McNeil building. Let’s Color!

 

ATTENTION FRESHMEN!!  We are still waiting for half of you to bring us a 2017 or 2018 physical.  It is a requirement and you MUST do it before you start your sophomore year or you will be excluded from school.

 

 

Keen on learning how to code? We want you! Kode With Klossy Summer Camp is a free (yep, free!) two-week summer program for girls 13 – 18 years old. You’ll be in classes of 20 participants learning to build real-life apps with code. The U.S. Military Academy would like to invite students to participate in the West Point CT Project’s Day Overnight Visit. The Academy would like to formally extend an invitation to students to visit its campus and participate in CT Project’s Day which will be held at West Point May 2-3, 2018.  This is an opportunity for West Point to show students the great work that cadets are doing.
