ANNOUNCEMENTS

Monday, May 14, 2018, A-Day

The Library is CLOSED today. No students should be sent to the Library although The ONE H period group assigned there will report to the cafeteria.

Any student interested in taking a 4 day trip on the schooner Brilliant this September should come to the meeting in McNeil 307, the Tech 2 classroom, at 2:30 Tuesday, May 15th.  That’s tomorrow!  Trip information and eligibility will be discussed.

Last call for college classes! If you want to take a class at Gateway, Southern or Yale in the fall, you need to see Julie in Student Services on Tuesdays. Yale Orientation is this week, so anyone wanting to discuss that possibility MUST see her THIS TUESDAY, the 15th. Thank you!

Seniors! Are you ready for Prom? Do you still need your corsage or boutonniere? reach out to Pebbles Lacross or Silvio Barnes to discuss your options!

ATTENTION NEW HAVEN STUDENTS: We are having a shortage of BUS CARDS through the end of the year. Please return any extra used cards you may have. Please be aware that lost cards may no longer be replaced.

This Saturday was the Elm City Challenge and despite rain and cold and grey dreary skies the Sound School rowing program faced it’s arch rival the Harbor School in a series of boat races that included boat handling and sprints. The crews of the Sound school faced stiff competition yet emerged victorious although the margin of victory was only seconds. Congratulations to all the rowers for their dedication hard work and commitment to the sport of Open Water Fixed Seat Rowing.

Thanks to Steve Joseph and George Baldwin for stepping up to help with the event and

a very special thanks to the parents, too numerous to mention, who contributed time and food and a welcoming spirit that transcended the darkness of the day. Thank you everyone.
