An admissions counselor from Quinnipiac University will be visiting Sound School TODAY at 1:30 pm in the CafĂ©.  Please remember to sign-up in Naviance if you would like to attend this college session and learn about what Quinnipiac University has to offer.

 

Coastal Cleanup has been CANCELLED for this week..

 

The homecoming dance is on Friday, October 26th at Amarante’s. The price for the event is $40.00 per person. Please see Melissa in Emerson 107 to purchase tickets.

 

If you are currently a member or interested in joining the Sound School Debate Team this year please listen up – this is an important correction from an earlier announcement.  The first meeting with our Yale coach will be Thursday September 27 not Tuesday September 25 as previously announced.  It will be right after school in John Buell’s room.  Debate practice will take place this year on Tuesdays and will run from 2:30-4:00. SAE credit is available for those that earn a completion certificate.  If you can’t make the first meeting please let John Buell or Libby Fontana know so we can get you on the roster.  Any questions call John at 71604 or stop by his room.

 

 

 

If you are interested in joining George Baldwin’s Marine Resources Directed Laboratory on Thursday afternoons doing such activities as beach seining, hatching and releasing Atlantic salmon, tagging horseshoe crabs and other marine biology field studies go to Foote Room 715 NEXT Thursday, September 27 at 2:45.

National FFA’s 2018 SAE Grant application is NOW available. If you are interested in applying for a $1000 grant to support your SAE plan or program please see Pebbles. Applications are due by November 15, 2018

 

INTERESTED IN LEARNING A LANGUAGE NOT TAUGHT HERE AT SCHOOL?

Yale University is offering classes for high school students in

Arabic, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, and Urdu

after school and for credit. Courses run October to May, one day a week.
