Monday, December 3, 2018, E-Day

 

There will be a Bermuda meeting in John Roy’s room ( 748) today (Monday) during G-Period today. If you cannot make the meeting please contact John or Pete.

 

 

 

The sound school community service club will be at the soup kitchen December 12, 2018 from 2:30 – 5:00. You MUST sign up outside of Emerson 112 to attend, space is limited to 12 students.

 

 

 

The Ocean Engineering 2 Class is running a ‘Baked Goods’ Fundraiser in preparation for all of your holiday festivities. Their selection includes pies, tea breads, and cookie dough… all freshly made by Bishop’s Orchards. These baked goods would be a great gift to family or a perfect addition to any holiday meal. Place your order during the lunch waves through THURSDAY!

 

There will be a drop in info session in Emerson 112 on THURSDAY between 2:30 – 3:00 for any student interested in attending the National FFA Convention October 30 – November 2, 2019. Your dues MUST be paid or a payment arrangement must be made prior to attending.

 

 

On Monday December 17 Sound School volunteers will be hosting the Fantasy of Lights at Lighthouse Park in New Haven, if you would like to join us as a volunteer for the evening there is a signup sheet posted in McNeill. There are a limited number of spots and volunteers should report to the entrance of Lighthouse park at 5pm and be picked up at 9pm. Students who like to express their passion on paper: The Sound School magazine is looking for you to submit. Please submit your artwork, writing, or whatever you want to the Sound School magazine. The artist with the winning cover names the magazine. Cover art is due by January 4th. Please share your work with melissa.dailey@nhps.net. Please name the document, “Sound Magazine + your name.”

 

 

 Let’s think about how we can help others as the weather gets colder. Donate warm winter coats for children or adults to Melissa in Emerson 107 between now and January 6th. Jordan’s Furniture will have the coats dry cleaned and distributed in New Haven.

 

Announcing last week’s Sound School Citizen of the Week. Congratulations to Nayelimar Fuentes. Elizabeth Fontana writes that she is always helpful and kind. She has a positive attitude while approaching any challenge. Her positivity is contagious and you can always look for her for support. Nayelimar is a hardworking student and does many things for her community. She is exactly what a citizen should be."
