Friday, December 21, 2018, B-Day: 12:15 Dismissal; No Period G

TODAY is a 12:15 Dismissal Day. All students must leave at 12:15 by regular transportation or other means. No basketball nor fishing are allowed today. There will be no staff on duty after dismissal.

The student council would like to thank all the participants in yesterday’s Last Annual Half-K Underachievers Holiday Stroll and those that turned out to cheer them on and encourage them to take it easy.  Fun was had by all and we raised just about $100 for the Food Pantry.  The Student Council would like to hold a few more of these community building events this year, so if any of you have ideas pass them along to your representatives. The Student Council wishes all of you the best of holidays.

Take a leap into the new year! Come see the 2017 movie "Leap!", a beautiful story of two orphans’ journey to Paris to fulfill their lifelong dreams, starring Elle Fanning, Nat Wolff, Maddie Ziegler, and Carly Rae Jepsen, on Friday, January 4th after-school! For those who are interested, the movie screening will be in Room 715 at the Foote Building from 2:45 to 4:30. Don’t miss an opportunity to discover your greatest passion.

Students who like to express their passion on paper: The Sound School magazine is looking for you to submit. Please submit your artwork, writing, or whatever you want to the Sound School magazine. The artist with the winning cover names the magazine. Cover art is due by January 4th. Please share your work with Please name the document, “Sound Magazine + your name.”

The after school enrichment program is up and running for any 9th, 10th, and 11th graders who need help improving their grades, want help preparing for midterms, or want to participate in fun enrichment activities!  The program runs out of Megan’s room in Thomas 416 from 2:45-4:45pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Those who attend regularly will be eligible to attend fun field trips such as going to play laser tag or trying to get through escape rooms.  There are teachers who can help with English and math, as well as student tutors who can provide help in other subjects as well.  We’ll see you there!
