There will be a Saga meeting today during G period in Mr. Pickett’s room.

Want to try scuba diving? Try it with the sound school dive club! We will teach you the basics of scuba and help you take your first breaths underwater! No dive experience necessary and all ages welcome! CT Scuba Academy and the Sound School dive club will provide all the necessary equipment, all you need is a swimsuit and towel. Bee club will be meeting in Kevin Daley’s room TODAY.

 

Anyone interested in playing for the Sound School basketball team please sign up in the main office.

 

Attention Seniors: Submit your choice of senior pictures and baby pictures to Katie by TOMORROW. If you want to use your ID picture you do not have to submit that. Be sure to check the google classroom page for yearbook updates.

 

All students interested in working on the yearbook should come to a meeting in Katie’s room TODAY during G period. All students are welcome. We will be creating the lists for superlatives and working on some of the page designs. Please check in with your G period teacher BEFORE coming to Katie’s room.

 

Any 9th or 10th grade student interested in being a shadow mentor this spring please sign up outside of Emerson 112 on the living to serve bulletin board. 

 

Namaste Staff and Students, As we approach Mid Terms next week, many of us might feel anxious and a bit overwhelmed. So, we plan to support you with two Group Meditation sessions this week, TODAY & TOMORROW, Period G in room 403.  WALK INs are welcome. Doors close by 10:30 am. Please be there on time and with a PASS!!!

 

 

This week the After School Program is running out of Megan’s room in the Thomas building.  TODAY we will have an environmental education workshop with Cori from the New Haven Land Trust. 

 

Midterm Exam Schedule:  A light lunch will be served in the cafeteria each day during the 10:00 – 10:15 am break. Regular dismissal is at 12:15 pm on each exam day.  *If you stay for Extended Time (to finish an exam OR to study, you will need to bring a lunch and arrange for a ride home at or before 2:30 pm. No after school activities will be held.

*The homework center will be open from dismissal UNTIL 2:30 pm each day to accommodate those students who may have arrangements for extended time, alternate exam schedule, or need to stay to study or make up owed work.

 

A few tips to remember…

     *   Make sure to organize all study materials well in advance

     *   Make sure to study for your exams e few days prior to exam date

     *   Make sure to get lots of rest the night before exams

     *   Eat a good breakfast that morning

     *   Bring all tools you need for your exam e.g. pencil, paper, notes (just in case you have study time or are allowed to use them)

     *   Bring back text books to turn in to your teacher and library books back to the library

     *   REMEMBER THAT IF YOU NEED EXTENDED TIME YOU MUST STAY THE AFTERNOON OF THE EXAM!  Please do not schedule work, doctors’ appointments, etc. prior to 2:30 pm each of these exam days

     *   If you miss an exam day you MUST make arrangements with your teacher
