Tuesday, March 5, 2019: C-Day

 

There will be a ski trip to Mohawk Mountain on Sunday March 10th.  The trip is limited to the first 14 students who have paid and submitted signed permission slips.  See Phil in rm 307 for permission slips.

 

Sound School basketball tryouts will be held TODAY and Thursday from 4-6pm at Betsy Ross.

 

The following students have shadows tomorrow Wednesday March 6, 2019 – Katie Brolet, Spencer Bigman, Joseph Jensen and Chance Thompson. Please meet your shadows in McNeil at 7:50am

 

 

Students who have signed up for or have previously participated in the URI Tree Planting Internship need to attend a meeting with Neil Geist TODAY in room 756 of the Foote building.

Brooksvale Park is looking for volunteers for its Maple Sugaring Event on Saturday, March 9th from 10:00 to 2:00.  If you’re interested, call Ranger Vinny at (203) 287-2669 and leave a message with your name and phone number.

 

Prom is coming! Dresses are in demand! Consider donating or even taking a dress from Melissa’s room, Emerson 107. We will collect, swap, distribute, and finally donate dresses on March 31st. Jordan’s Furniture will have the dresses dry cleaned and distributed by Project Hope CT, a New-Haven based organization.

 

The Senior Ocean Engineering class is hosting a MONTH. LONG. RAFFLE!! For the month of April, they are giving away one prize for each day of the month. Some prizes include Amazon gift cards, movie passes, and even tickets to a Yankees VS Red Sox game! They will be selling tickets during all three lunch waves! But get your tickets soon, they cut off ticket sales the last day of March so they can start announcing winners April 1st. Support the Ocean Engineering class while getting a chance to win over $900 in prizes!!

 

The After School Program will be running out of Megan’s room in the Thomas building TODAY through Thursday.  TODAY will have Julie’s college prep workshop and an English workshop led by Katie, and TOMORROW and Thursday will have a math enrichment workshop with Mr. Padro.  As always, homework and project help will be provided by student tutors and teachers each day.  Students who attend the program regularly will also be eligible to attend upcoming field trips to an indoor rock-climbing gym and a laser tag arena.
