ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wednesday, May 15, 2019: ADV-A-B-H-C-D

The library will be closed for AP testing TODAY.

Attention all Eco adventure members . We will be doing a geo cache TOMORROW. Meet in Kim’s room immediately after school.

The Sound School SAGA will meet during G period Thursday, May 16 in Mr. Pickett’s room in Anderson 612. Agenda items include the waterfront festival, officer elections, the Gay Men’s Chorus tickets and the lack of baked goods at meetings. All are welcome but check in with your G period teacher first because: I belong, you belong, we belong.

Applications are now available for the PAC Capstone Scholarship competition from your Capstone advisor. Applications are due by Wednesday, May 29. NO EXCEPTIONS. They may be turned in electronically or to Pete Solomon or Kim Workinger. Students must be available to present their projects to the PAC Scholarship committee on Saturday, June 8.

REMINDER: Lunchtime Boundaries….. Please do NOT congregate during lunch waves on the ramp behind the Thomas Building, nor anywhere behind the Emerson Building.

Do you need a corsage or boutonniere for prom? Plant Tech will be selling both during all lunch waves! Cash or check is required to place an order. Corsages are $20.00 and Boutonnieres at $15. Please see Pebbles for more information

Brew yourself a favor and take part in the Senior Ocean Engineering Class’s Gourmet Coffee Fundraiser! With over 14 award-winning flavors to choose from, it’s easy to support their trip to Tennessee this summer! Selling will be during lunch waves and G periods!!

Sophomores and Juniors interested in taking a college course next fall at Gateway, Southern or Yale MUST meet individually with Julie, our ISSP Coordinator, in person in Student Services, any Tuesday until May 21st. Stop by ASAP to talk over your options — minimum requirements are a B average and 400’s on the PSAT or SAT. Application deadlines are fast approaching, so don’t delay!

Here at The Sound School we must be in compliance with State Health Statutes.  We need a current physical and immunization history for all 9th graders before you return to school in August.  So far only 1/3 of our ninth graders have turned them in.  We have mailed letters and posted on Facebook, so now it’s up to you.  Let’s get this done before school gets out in June.  If you have questions, talk to Nurse Rosellen in Emerson.

The After School Program, running out of Megan’s room every Tuesday through Thursday, will have many great activities this week:

  • TODAY will have a yoga session and a math session with Mr. Padro.
  • TOMORROW will have a college prep workshop with Nilsa and an environmental education workshop with Cori.
