ANNOUNCEMENTS

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2019: E-DAY

Seniors: An admissions counselor from Western CT State University will be visiting Sound School TODAY at 1:40 pm in the Cafeteria.  Please remember to sign-up in Naviance if you would like to attend this college information session.

Juniors: Permission slips to attend the National Hispanic College Fair on Friday November 8th at the University of Bridgeport must be returned to Nilsa by Wednesday, November 6th.

Do you want to learn to play the guitar?  Did you ever think about writing a song? Do you want to try something different for a winter SAE?  If so please come to Foote room 725 immediately after school on Thursday to hear about a possible winter SAE opportunity.

If you are interested in competing in an Ocean themed jeopardy style regional competition, an environmentally themed team competition or want to know more about it, stop in McNeil 307 after school on Wednesday and Thursday to see what it’s about. Teams will be preparing and practicing through the Fall for regional competitions and a chance at National competitions in the spring. Practices and meetings will be from 2:30-4:30. Stop by and chat for details if you’re having trouble making the afternoon.

The Sound School Community Service Club in cooperation with The Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen is collecting the following items: Canned Green beans, Boxed stuffing, canned cranberry sauce and Turkey, chicken or veggie broth in an effort to help feed 1500 people this thanksgiving. Please bring your items in to your favorite classroom teacher before November 15 so you can win a pizza party!

There will be a meeting for all divers going on the trips to Bonaire and Florida during G-period TODAY. Please see Pete Solomon if you cannot attend.

Anyone interested in taking a free college course in January must see Julie in Student Services on any Tuesday through November 5th. You need to be a junior or senior with good grades and responsible behaviors. Both NEW and RETURNING students must apply, so don’t delay.
