THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2020: C-DAY
All rowers participating in Canal Dock indoor rowing competition this Sat Feb 28, must attend Thursday and Friday practice in room 756 of the Foote Building or see DD.
Todays SAGA meeting will be in Mr. Picketts room Anderson room 612 during G period. Remember to check in with your G period teacher before going to SAGA. Also always remember I belong, You belong, We belong.
Next week is FFA week! Did you know that more than 50,000 FFA jackets are manufactured each year for students from middle school to college. On Thursday March 5th wear blue and gold, ffa swag or your FFA jacket if you have one!
The animal science lab has white lab mice available for adoption beginning on Thursday, February 27th. They are very friendly with alot of handling by the scientists in the lab! If you want a pet or pets (they are happiest living in groups of three!) or have a snake or other reptile that eats live…they gotta eat too! contact Kim or the seniors in her class. We will need a letter of permission from a parent or guardian and you will need a ride home on the day you take your mice as they are not allowed on the busses!
Any students interested in participating on the Sound School Basketball Team need to complete the online physical form with a parent’s assistance as soon as possible. The link needed can be found on the form provided in the main office. The season is set to begin on March 23.
There will be a meeting for juniors during G period TOMORROW to learn about legal rights and responsibilities for drivers.
Our fifth annual Shake it Up! Day will be coming in April. If you have a skill you’d like to teach your peers, if you would like to share an aspect of your culture, or if you have a hobby you’d like to display, you can submit a proposal to run a Shake it Up! Day workshop. Proposals must be submitted by March 2nd, and workshops should have an enrichment focus area such as art, history, culture, or volunteer work. See the red information sheets posted around campus for how to submit your Shake it Up! Day workshop proposal. See Megan in Thomas 416 if you have any questions.
