Meet the Teachers Night: Next Wednesday, September 30, 6:00-7:30. Online. Parents will use the existing Google Meets codes for their students’ classes, and follow a mock version of their students’ classes. The schedule will be as follows:
Come join our FFA leadership group TODAY for our first virtual meeting of the year. We will be meeting at 2:45 on Friday afternoon. Please use soundffa as the code for our google meet! We hope to see you there!
Attention all student leaders! If you have an interest in Student Government please consider joining Student Council to represent your peers this year. The student council meets once a week to plan student activities, to provide student feedback on school policies, represent the student body at the monthly meetings of Sound’s School Planning and Management Team, and represent Sound School at the city-wide student council meetings. To become a member you must complete an application packet. If you would like to receive a packet and instructions via email, please contact John at email@example.com.
The Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA) will host its first meeting of the year on Wednesday 9/30 from 9:15-10am. Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone regardless of race, age, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability and to strengthen our community through education and student advocacy. Our meetings focus on offering support to members of our community, learning lbtq+ history, and addressing current issues facing members of the lbtq+ community. We will meet over the Google Meet through the SAGA google classroom. If you are interested in joining us for the first time please ask your advisor for the google classroom code. And as always remember At Sound School, I Belong, You Belong, We Belong!
Attention everyone – The Sound School Debate team is back and here are some excellent reasons to join: to better express your opinions, to make new friends, to work with excellent coaches from Yale, to compete in regular tournaments against students at your level from around New Haven, to generally improve your self-confidence, and to earn SAE credit. No experience necessary – all levels are welcome. Practices will be held virtually via zoom on a regular basis from 3-5 in the afternoon. If you would like to join and/or you have any questions, please send an email to John Buell at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide an email other than your school nhps account as you will need that to participate. Returning members should email John as well so that an accurate roster can be compiled.
