Faulkner Island Cleanup
Sound School students traveled to Faulkner Island for a community service project. They visited the Faulkner Lighthouse, removed washed-up refuse from nesting areas, and restored habitats for endangered roseate terns.
Atlantic Salmon Release
On Thursday, April 27th, Sound School students traveled to the Salmon River in Colchester, to release Atlantic salmon that they hatched late this winter.
Cross Sound Swimmer Stops At Sound
NEW HAVEN, CONN. –(OCT 18, 2016) Cross Long Island Sound swimmer Christopher Swain is greeted by Sound School students as he stepped out of New Haven Harbor. Swain is swimming from Montauk Point to New York City to draw attention to clean water and environmental issues. Read more on WNPR. (Pickett)
