The Sound School offers New Haven residents the opportunity to focus on agricultural topics in conjunction with their core academic courses. Agricultural topics include agribusiness management, agricultural biology, agricultural chemistry, agricultural technology, environmental science, floral design, greenhouse crop production, hydroponics/aquaponics, landscape design and maintenance, natural resources, landscape equipment operation, plant science, animal science, veterinary science and agricultural mechanics which make up our Agricultural Educational Program.

Students have the opportunity to participate in classroom instruction, laboratory experience, leadership training and supervised agricultural work experience at the Sound School and at the restored and historic Pardee Greenhouse and classroom. Students also participate in class field trips related to the content areas offered. This opens doors to those areas of agriculture which may not otherwise be reached with out these opportunities.
